Ideal for Kiteboarding, Wing Foiling, E-Foiling and more

Kelly Park East is a hidden gem on Florida’s Space Coast for watersports enthusiasts. Tucked along the Banana River, it offers shallow, flat-water conditions perfect for kiteboarding, wing foiling, and e-foiling. The launch area is grassy and spacious, with plenty of room to set up gear and safely launch.

Kiteboarding:
The consistent thermal winds, especially during spring and fall, make Kelly Park a reliable spot for kiters. With wide-open space on the water and waist-deep depths stretching far out, it’s a forgiving spot for beginners and a freestyle playground for advanced riders. PLEASE LAUNCH KITES IN THE GRASS ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE PARKING LOT. Then you walk through the opening of the non-motorized launch area. If you are not a confident rider who can upwind, it can be a little bit tricky working your way upwind. Feel free to reach out to us for a Lesson or Supervision and we can take you out on the Jetski to give you all the room you need! 

Wing Foiling:
The flat water and unobstructed wind flow are ideal for wing foilers. You’ll find smooth or light chop conditions most days, which are great for practicing jibes, tacks, and getting your first flights. The shallow depth near shore transitions smoothly to deeper water, making it easy to get up on foil. We would be happy to help with equipment needs and Wing Foil Lessons! 

Foiling (E-Foil or Tow):
Foilers love the calm mornings and light wind days. The Banana River’s glassy surface provides the perfect foil track with minimal boat traffic. Electric foils are commonly seen cruising the shoreline, and the wide bay allows plenty of space to explore. 

Local Tips:

• Best wind direction: E, SE, ESE, or S
• Avoid riding W or NW winds without an instructor– they’re offshore and gusty. We can take you out to the flats and get you into the conditions you need with jetskis. 
• Watch for seagrass in certain areas during summer.
• There’s ample parking, bathrooms, and picnic areas – great for families or a full-day session.
• Sunrise and sunset sessions here are stunning!
